14th April 2022, During the groundbreaking ceremony which was officiated by Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Masidi Manjun, Finance Minister II/Local Government and Housing Minister, representing the Chief Minister of Sabah, Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji bin Haji Noor, Desa Lestari Sdn. Bhd. signed the Land Development Agreement with Glowbest Sdn. Bhd for a development project of 6 units of commercial 3-storey shop office and the Menara DESA which consist of 5-storey DESA office building on its prime land located at Kilometers 8.8, Jalan Tuaran, Kolombong.

Menara DESA will be a new landmark which signifies DESA business moving forward to greater heights, better productivity and profitability. DESA Group is moving forward in the modernization and expansion of its core food businesses of poultry and livestock for long term sustainable business and positive returns to the shareholder's investment.

With rapid growth of the Group business and operation, the existing rented corporate office will no longer be sufficient to accommodate the expansion needs of our workforce and business activities. Thus, it is the opportune time for DESA to take an opportunity to ride on this commercial development project with Glowbest Sdn. Bhd and to include into the development plan DESA own corporate office while adding value to its prime land at Kolombong. The establishment of Menara DESA will enhance DESA corporate image and positive reputation as a leading market player in Poultry, Dairy Livestock and Retailing.

Desa Group will be the first Government Linked Company (GLC) in Sabah to have an Artificial Intelligence (AI) smart corporate building. Menara DESA will be equipped with the latest AI smart technology, which enables energy efficiency management and automation of electrical devices in the building for higher work and energy efficiencies as well as better occupational security.
